We are not just publishers of photobooks - we are here for all forms of visual art.

As artist-led publishers, our first priority is to the artists we work with: to accurately portray and publish their stories.

Unlike many publishers we have no upfront charges, signing on fees or advances for artists. Instead we cover all production costs (eg printing and marketing) ourselves and have a profit-share agreement with each artist.

The books we publish are not necessarily set in or about the subtropics and tropics. Our artists do not even have to live there, but they must have family heritage from these regions.

Please check the map before submitting.

We operate an online preorder system with our books. Although our first special editions are limited, if a title remains high in demand we will not limit supply of the standard second edition and will open a new preorder for these subsequent print runs.

Submission Guidelines

If you have a book proposal, send an email to studio@twentyfourthirtysix.com with your name in the subject line and attach a pdf (no bigger than 15MB) which must contain the following:

1 The work/project you’d like published with captions for each image.

2 A written description of yourself plus links to your website and instagram.

3 A one-page description of the work submitted including an explanation of what stage your project/work is at (eg. just started, halfway, or completed).

4 Any ideas on potential format, what attendent texts you’d want to include and who you’d envisage to write them (either yourself or commissioned). None of our books are image only, all our books must have some texts for example: artist’s statement; foreword; introduction; extended photo captions; interviews; poems and essays.

We look forward to hearing from you.
